Corrupt Advocate of Reparations Convicted/Mexican Marine Murderer Caught
By: The Unreconstructed Southerner
My apologies to the readers I have been engaged in taking care of some personal business but there is a bit of news to report. First off was the conviction of disgraced former legislator Thomas Wright. Despite his lawyer’s lame attempts to play the race card, the legislature and the court didn’t bite. For siphoning off funds from his campaign and other sources, Wright is going to jail till at least 2014 and if he stayed longer it wouldn’t bother me a bit. Such a punishment is too good for the man who so distorted the events of the 1898 conflict in Wilmington to make it appear as if it was a white on black race riot when it was instead a conflict which saw both sides getting shot at. His entire legislative legacy was hoped to be laying the groundwork for state reparations to North Carolina’s black population. Instead he can join Jim Black and Michael Decker behind bars.
Soon to hopefully be behind American bars is the murderer of Maria Lauterbach who was captured in Mexico at a road stop. The scoundrel, Cesar Laurean’s excuse for the brutal murder of his fellow Marine, “I loved her.” Funny way to show it and the gas chamber or electric chair is exactly what this killer deserves.
For those wanting to vote in North Carolina’s primary please remember to register today because it is the last day for those wishing to make their voice heard. Let’s stand up for our values and hopefully leave Barack Obama nursing a primary loss courtesy of the Tarheel state.

Ethics Profile on Thomas Wright Supporters
By: The Unreconstructed Southerner
For once I think we all ought to tip our hats to the News and Observer for pointing out a common theme among the members of the NC House who voted against expelling their corrupt comrade Thomas Wright. Apparently all 4 Representatives and members of the Black Caucus have been charged with corruption in the past. This is not the first nor last time that members of the NC Black Caucus have been involved nor will be involved in corruption scandals. The tolerant attitude in place up in Raleigh is a throwback to earlier days following the War Between the States in North Carolina. What is needed is an end to the monopoly enjoyed by the left wing Democrats and refusing to be coopted by politically correct Republicans. We in the NC CofCC must provide a true choice as we are the most representative conservative movement in the state. Join today and stand up for North Carolina.

NC House Expels Representative Wright
NC CofCC News Team
The North Carolina House overwhelmingly voted to expel corrupt Black Caucus member Thomas Wright from office today by a vote of 109-5. Wright has been accused of laundering $340,000 from his campaign, loans, and charitable contributions. He will now be faced with criminal prosecution in Wake County and his seat will now be vacant until the upcoming primary on May 6. This is the first time a legislator has been expelled in 128 years and only goes to show the stubbornness of Wright in believing himself untouchable. He is definitly not the first or last politician in Raleigh to be guilty of corruption in the highest order.

NC House Ethics Panel Recommends Expulsion of Rep. Wright
By: The Unreconstructed Southerner
Well well well justice does seem to work in Raleigh to a point. After hearings on corruption charges against corrupt black Rep. Thomas Wright (D-Wilmington) the ethics committee has unanimously voted to recommend that Wright be expelled from the North Carolina House. The pocketing of $350,000 from his campaign, charities, and several corporations has brought down the fall of Wright despite a behind the scenes whisper campaign by the Black Caucus. Despite threats from his ethnic comrades, Wright has been thrown under the bus by Speaker Joe Hackney (D-Chapel Hill) who is desperate to get this over with before the election season switches into high gear.
The corruption in the NC General Assembly and our government in general is appalling and swift justice should be dealt out. That Wright would use the so called specter of Jim Crow to attempt to guilt his colleagues into giving him a pass only goes to show what Wright and his comrades will do when caught. It’s reassuring to see that it didn’t work, even on his Democratic colleagues, but it is just as certain that we’ve not seen the last of corruption inside the Raleigh Beltline.

Rep. Wright's Crybaby Lawyer Bemoans "Jim Crow" Ethics Tribunal; Nick Mackey to run for NC House
By: The Unreconstructed Southerner
Despite the pleadings of the Black Caucus the Democrats in Raleigh seem ready to give Thomas Wright the ax as the Ethics Committee in the NC House has decided to proceed in the ethics case against Wright that could lead to his expulsion from the NC House. In a shameless act of desperation Wright’s head attorney, Doug Harris, is playing the race card to shield Wright from prosecution. “What we have here is a white man being treated one way and a black man being treated another,” Harris said. “This is a Jim Crow proceeding if he gets treated differently. I object to my client being treated in a Jim Crow hearing in 2008.” This pathetic defense will serve only to make sure Wright gets the ax all the faster if the gentlemen in Raleigh show any common sense.
Wih his one attempt to steal the Mecklenburg sheriff’s race foiled, Nick Mackey seems ready to try again in a race against incumbent Democrat Drew Saunders. Saunders might just be in for trouble as his Huntersville district is 69% black and Saunders is as pale as can be. Given the black community has a history in North Carolina and throughout the South of supporting corrupt ethnic politicians Nick Mackey might just be better off for not winning the sheriff’s race by fraud.

Another Black Legislator Accused of Corruption
By: The Unreconstructed Southerner
The indictment of Rep. Wright doesn’t seem to be enough corruption for the NC Black Caucus in the General Assembly as now another of it’s members has been accused of misuse of funds. Fayetteville Democrat Mary McAllister has apparently misused the computers of her non-profit organization to engage in work for her reelection campaign this fall. It is noteworthy that the state board of elections fined McAllister $15,000 in the past for improper payments to herself from her campaign fund. State Auditor Les Merritt is to be commended for his hard work in exposing corruption in our state government from Jim Black, Rep. Wright, and now Rep. McAllister. She attempted to block the probe by refusing to turn over the computers and now we know why. Another sad story on the state of our government in Raleigh.

Mecklenburg Commissioner's Confirm Chip Bailey 7-1
NC CofCC News
The Mecklenburg County Commissioners ended two months of drama over the attempt to steal the sheriff’s election by Nick Mackey. Last night the commissioners voted 7-1 to confirm Chip Bailey after the Democratic Party found that Mackey had broken party rules and had enough of his supporters disqualified to make Bailey the winner. This decision is to be applauded as it came despite early pressure from the black community and the NAACP to confirm Mackey despite the allegations of corruption and Mackey’s background of incompetence. Despite Al Sharpton coming to Charlotte to inflame racial tensions justice has prevailed in Mecklenburg. We hope that Mr. Bailey will continue the work of his predecessor, Sheriff Pendergraph, in cracking down on illegal aliens while promoting law and order in Charlotte and throughout the county.

Summary of Al Sharpton's Rabble Rousing Event in Charlotte
By: The Unreconstructed Southerner
Al Sharpton’s trip to the Charlotte area yesterday was about all one would have expected from the so called Reverend. With 700 listeners Sharpton railed against the Democratic Party changing it’s rules, presumably just to keep the black man down. Don’t expect Sharpton’s rhetoric to change the tide in Nick Mackey’s favor as more and more black civic leaders are going mute on support for Mackey. Even Harvey Gant, the senatorial candidate defeated by Senator Jesse Helms in 1990 and 1996, is commenting that support in the black community for Nick Mackey is not unified which we can take as a sign it is also waning. Now the County Commissioners and the Democratic Party need to do the right thing and confirm Chip Bailey due to the illegal and fraudulent manner by which Nick Mackey tried to steal this election. Sharpton and his crowd may have had their day but if current trends continue then they’ll have lost the war over the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s race/

Corrupt Legislator Cries Foul Over Trial Timing
From NC CofCC News
The black caucus had best circle the wagons now as the trial date is set for corrupt legislator Thomas Wright, a black representative from Wilmington. Wright has been accused of taking money to the tune of six figures from his campaign fund as well as other financial fraud issues. To this Wright cries political harassment as his trial date is set for March 3, just a few short months ahead of his May 6 primary. Despite the pleadings of Speaker Joe Hackney (D-Chapel Hill) and other Democrats, Wright has the support of the black caucus in the General Assembly and vows to battle on to reelection. This all would be irrelevant if the Assembly proceeds to expel Wright for his corruption charge. How this plays out remains to be seen. Check back here for more updates as the trial heats up.
